If you are a company administrator or manager, or approver, you can accept and reject requests for other members of your team.
By default, Staff Leave operates the following permission hierarchy for approvals:-
- Administrators have full permission to approve and reject leave for all team members
- Managers have full permission to approve and reject leave for all members of their department
- Approvers have permission to only approve and reject leave for their approvees.
Anyone with approval permission can also amend a user's allowance settings, and issue time off in Lieu.
To Approve a Request
- Login to your StaffLeave company portal
- Click on "Holiday/Leave Requests" towards the top right of your screen, or from the left menu when on the home screen (as shown below).
- You can also access requests directly from the shared planner, as seen here. Requests will show as Pending in Orange:-
- Tap on the Leave request, or if viewing via the Leave Requests screen, simply scroll to the request you want to approve or reject.
- Tap on Approve, or hit the [X] to reject it.
- You will then be asked to confirm the action you wish to take. You will also be asked to type in a staff member's annual allowance if you haven't already done so.
- Your team member will then automatically be sent a notification to confirm the status of their request.
- Once confirmed, the leave statistics relating to the booking will automatically update in real time for each holiday year.
