How do I book a half day?
You can book a half day, simply by holding down on a day on your booking calendar, and choosing from one of three options, AM, PM or Full Day.
Why can I not see some of my historic leave?
Holiday requests older than 3 months will move from the main booking screen to the "Past" filter tab found on the top menu, simply sideways swipe left to access this menu option.
How do I book leave in hours?
Staff Leave currently only supports bookings in days and half days. Hourly support is planned for a future release.
I did not receive my invite email, what do I do?
If you're still waiting for your invite email to join your team, you can navigate directly to www.staffleave.com/app and join your team via the relevant app for your device. Make sure you're using the email address you were invited with, and you should be able to successfully join your team.
I did not receive my temporary access password, what do I do next?
If you've failed to receive your access password, we recommend you first check your spam folder. If you still cannot find your temporary access password, please contact our support team by raising a support request.
I tried to reset my password, but the token has expired
If you've requested a password reset email, our security tokens expire after 1 hour, so if you see this message, please request another password reset email and complete the process again.
I can no longer log into my account, even when I reset my password
Sometimes your Staff Leave administrator my have deactivated your account, if this is the case, you will no longer be able to log in and any password reset attempt will fail. If this happens to you, and you believe your account should still be active, and you haven't left your employment, please contact our support team by raising a support request
Why are notifications delayed?
Some notifications, both instant and via email, are delayed by up to 20 minutes depending on the use case. Notifications sent to approvers and administrators are delayed on purpose to allow staff the opportunity to cancel or make a new request if they've made an error, without bombarding approvers with a request to respond.
All other notifications are delayed by around 5 minutes as they're queued into our notification system for delivery in a managed order.
Why can I not book leave beyond 12 months?
Our current booking screen only shows the next 12 months to create a leave request. This is currently by design, and we may introduce extending booking windows in a future release.
I tried to invite a colleague, but it says they're already registered?
Sometimes a colleague may have been registered with another employer that uses Staff Leave. If this is the case, and their previous employer has not yet deactivated their account, our support team can assist you in transferring the right to use their email address for a new employee profile within your team.
I tried to invite a colleague, but it says their email domain is not supported?
If you receive an error relating to an email domain, and you think you have a right to use this domain, especially if the email is from a public provider, please contact our support team for further assistance.
I cannot see leave for other members of my team on the holiday planner?
By default, Staff Leave only shows leave for other members of your department on the holiday planner. If you would like to see all leave for all team members, you either need to have an administrator account, or your administrator can request a team wide setting change by raising a support request.
